This piece is an homage to my great grandmother, a woman who raised 15 children in the Dominican Republic and became the foundation of our family.
Outside her house was a mango tree, a quiet witness to generations of laughter, stories, and love. It became a symbol of her presence: steady, giving, and deeply rooted.
She was a gentle woman, but through her I learned that gentleness is not the absence of strength.
